Phendimetrazine is a chemical which is closely related to amphetamines - an illegal drug commonly known as 'speed'. Phendimetrazine is a controlled substance and available in the US only on prescription. The drug is defined as 'Schedule III' and noted in the Convention on Psychotropic Substances.
The chemical is commonly sold in the form of phendimetrazine tartrate, as a weight loss drug and under the trade name of bontril.
